SPARK CREATIVITY SUMMER ACADEMY

Looking for an awesome camp for your TK-8th graders? SPARK Creativity Summer Academy will focus on engaging and enjoyable activities in: music, art, STEM/critical thinking and drama rotations.  Each day will embody all of the things youth love while inspiring creativity all throughout.

Our goal is to provide campers with engaging, age appropriate projects that create smiles, AHA moments and uplifting social interactions. We will have time for a bit of organized free time each morning and afternoon for balance.

  • Scheduling for TK-2nd grades: Mon-Fri from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.; Pricing is $180/wk

  • Scheduling for 3rd-8th grades: Mon-Fri from 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.; Pricing is $365/wk

  • Extended care is available for TK-2nd from 12:00-1:00 p.m. and 3rd-8th grades from 4:00-5:00 p.m. Extended care is an additional $50/wk.

There will be a camper showcase at the end of each session on Fridays from 12:00-1:00 p.m. for TK-2nd graders and from 4:00-5:00 p.m. for grades 3rd-8th.During the showcase, campers will feature the items they've created in camp and have the opportunity to perform the musical pieces and drama activities that they've worked on.

During registration, campers can be enrolled for individual weeks or all 3 weeks. Please select the week(s) you are interested in when registering. We look forward to the opportunity of working with your child(ren) this summer!

A TYPICAL DAY AT CAMP...

Early Morning

  • Camp starts at 9:00 a.m. for all

  • 30-mins of organized free time after arrival

    • Indoor activities for Grades TK-2nd: story time, guided drawings, legos, board games/puzzles

    • Outside play for for Grades TK-2nd: bouncy balls, hula hoops, foursquare).

    • Indoor activities for Grades 3rd-8th: guided drawings, lego challenges, board games/puzzles

    • Outside play for Grades 3rd-8th: basketball, trackball, jump rope, catch).

AM Rotations

  • Grades TK-2nd: 35-minute rotations in Art & STEM for

  • Grades 3rd-8th: ​70-minute rotation in Art

  • 10-minute break for all (snacks provided)

  • Grades TK-2nd: 35-minute rotation in Piano & Drama

  • Grades 3rd-8th: 70-minute rotation in STEM

  • Projects will be curated for different age groups.

    • Art projects will entail: drawing, painting, clay or collage​

    • STEM projects will entail: fun building challenges that  inspire critical thinking, plus creation of interactive maker items.

    • PIANO will entail: overview of musical foundations and learning a pop song

    • DRAMA will entail: games, role-playing and skits.

Lunch Time

  • Camp ends at 12 p.m. for grades TK-2nd. However, there is the ability to register for extended care from 12:00-1:00 p.m.

  • Grades 3rd-8th will enjoy 15-30 minutes for lunch (campers bring their own lunch), then 30-45 minutes for organized free time

  • Indoor activities: board games, drawing/painting

  • Outside play: dodgeball, volleyball, giant bubbles wands, trackball, basketball, flag football, jumprope, sidewalk chalk murals.

PM Rotations

  • Grades 3rd-8th: 70-minute rotation in Piano

    10-minute break for all (snacks provided)

    70-minute rotation in Drama

    • PIANO will entail: overview of musical foundations and learning a pop song

    • DRAMA will entail: games, role-playing and skits.

  • Camp ends at 4:00 p.m. with option for extended care for Grades 3rd-8th from 4:00-5:00 p.m.
