The Painted Piano Project is an uplifting art installation that is featured in Windsor during the late spring and summer months. During this time, painted pianos are placed in public parks and marketplaces and recreational facilities. It invites the public to engage with our town while celebrating a love of music and the visual arts. It is put on as a tribute to the Windsor Community by: Move Over Mozart, Windsor Performing Arts Academy & The Town of Windsor. Learn more here.

Painted pianos will be placed out into the Town of Windsor for the 2022 season during the months of May - October 2022. These pianos are for everyone, so please respect them and enjoy playing them! See a map of the 2021 Pianos (click on a piano icon to find references to artists, sponsors and locations).

We are still looking for financial sponsors to sponsor a piano OR an artist!

Financial sponsors have the option to donate $850 per piano to cover charges for art supplies, hauling, the plaque and maintenance equipment. Or alternatively, corporate sponsors can donate $375 to sponsor an artist for their creative works and time in painting a piano. End of Season Auction

At the end of the season, the painted pianos will be auctioned off to businesses, families and supporters within the community. All proceeds from the piano auction will benefit two Windsor youth-serving non-profits: Mozart's Amazing Musicians and Windsor Performing Arts Academy. We will post the date for the auction in June 2022.
