MEET MS. WENDY COOMBS
"Creating art is essential to overall well-being"
Ms. Wendy Coombs received her BA in Studio Art from Sonoma State University, with a concentration in painting. Her current works involve painting, drawing, textiles and mixed media.
For Wendy, being able to create a space to help students evolve their confidence in art making is a passion. With her students, she aims to provide them with the tools, skills, and support they need to help execute their artistic vision. Especially in a time of uncertainty, Wendy finds creating art to be essential to overall well-being. In addition to art, Wendy also enjoys music, gardening and camping.
MEET MS. MARISSA LECOUNT
"I believe everyone has the ability to create art that reflects their lives, loves and interests."
I’ve been drawn to art since I was a child and I’m excited to join the S*P*A*R*K Creativity/Move Over Mozart team as an art instructor. I received an Associates in Fashion Design from FIDM and a Bachelors in Business Administration from Mills College in Oakland. I love creating, from clothing and costumes to murals and Etch-A-Sketch.
I believe everyone has the ability to create art that reflects their lives, loves and interests. It’s programs like S*P*A*R*K Creativity/Move Over Mozart that kept me expressing my creativity over the years and honing my skills. I can’t wait to help young artists and creators build their skill sets and find what brings that sense of fulfillment that so many artists feel. Aside from art, Marissa loves reading Sci Fi, going to the beach, swimming, hiking and a good cup of tea.
